We have partnered with the Clark County School District and International Safe Routes to School, a program that encourages children to walk and bicycle to and from school safely.    SRTS is built on five strategies, called the "5 E's" (Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, Engineering and Evaluation,) to address challenges and barriers to walking and bicycling. Successful SRTS programs involve all 5 E’s and the community. This partnership and these programs enable us to educate and share with our local youth bicycling safety and all the joys and benefits that come with bicycling.

The Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition is a regional bicycling advocacy group and a project of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Outside Las Vegas Foundation.

The SNVBC inspires, encourages and supports collaborative community action to increase biking in Southern Nevada.. The Coalition’s purpose is to Connect our Community through Cycling. For the fourth year, we will host our community’s National Bike Challenge and supporting events and programs like the Safe Routes to School and 3 Foot Law Awareness Programs and organized rides that are held by the local agencies, bike clubs, and race teams.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

NDOT was established in 1917 under the name of the Nevada Department of Highways. Until 1917, the state did not participate in any road improvements. The 1917 Legislature gave the state engineer general supervision of road work which was performed by convict labor. An appropriation of $20,000 was made, but the funds were quickly exhausted and all work ceased later that same year.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is a regional entity that oversees public transportation, traffic management, roadway design and construction funding, and transportation planning for Southern Nevada.
